Outdoor environments

What I did: Purple flowers and grass textures, model/texture/uvs for the orange flower

These are some outdoor environments I worked on (set in different zones). Modeling the flower was interesting because I had to dissect the concept into sensical pieces for the texture- I ended up using a series of planes with alphas to achieve the look. Working with grass and flowers for terrain is also very interesting, because each piece needs to be very low poly so it can be repeated hundreds of times across the screen without destroying your framerate. Using alphas on planes is an inexpensive and effective way to create an illusion of depth.
